Kadomatsu Workshop

Our first Kadomatsu Workshop was a tremendous success! Thanks to everyone who joined us to enjoy the morning creating their special arrangement. Our Staff and volunteers were happy to assist with making this terrific workshop possible. There was a lot of focus but even more fun! Each final arrangement was beautiful! We look forward to seeing everyone next year to celebrate the New Year with your own kadomatsu!

December in the Garden

We welcomed many guests to the Garden this morning! Thank you for stopping by. It was a simply beautiful morning. The temps are cooler, the sun feels warm and pleasant, and a feeling of calm wraps around you as you stroll the path. Looking forward to entertaining holiday guests? Think about visiting the Garden! Looking for gift ideas? How about Garden Membership or Gift Cards for Tea Ceremony? We hope to see everyone on the path soon!

Garden Lecture: Origami

This month's Origami Lecture was a great hit with everyone! The history was exciting but more than that, most everyone tried their hand at folding! Such a great amount of sharing with everyone to get it right. Thank goodness the experts, Doris and Diana, were there to set everyone on the right fold! It was lots of fun and the time flew by quickly. Perhaps a bit of practice is in order now?!

JFG 10-Year Anniversary Celebration

Many, many thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate our first 10 years in the Garden yesterday! The day was glorious with just a touch of chill in the air. The drumming, dancing, magic, and crafts were just wonderful. Docent tours were definitely a hit - thanks to our terrific volunteer Docents! We hope you will return often and bring your family and friends as we move in the future. It was a lovely day and everyone had a great time. Thanks again for stopping by. See you on the path soon!

Special thanks to Fushicho Daiko, Magician Shawn, and all our staff and volunteers!

Late Summer

The Garden is so lovely, especially in the early morning as the new day awakens. The sun streams through to cast a twinkling in the stream and create a new shade of green on a tree branch as it enhances everything it rolls over. We look forward to seeing everyone on the path in a few weeks. Please mark your calendar for Opening Day on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 10 am! If you would like to join us for clean-up day (September 29) to bring the Garden to its full glory, please call the office to volunteer some time. We welcome everyone and appreciate all efforts!
